The Ellis House

In 1876 the Ellis family moved to Lincoln, New Mexico and open one of the areas first stores. The Ellis family supported the McSween faction during the famous Lincoln county war. Notably this property housed the famous outlaw “Billy the Kid” on numerous occasions. In later years, the property was turned into a TB sanitarium and then eventually into a private residence and Inn.
